Art inspired by wild wonder.
Starwild is an independent art studio created by artist Samantha Freismuth, where astrology, nature, and symbolism come together through thoughtful design.
The name Starwild reflects two ideas that feel deeply connected to me: the wonder of the cosmos and the idea of being “wild.” Not wild in the chaotic sense, but in the sense of being open-hearted, curious, authentic, and always seeking connection — with the world around us, with other people, and with ourselves.
How Starwild Began
Starwild began about four years ago, shortly after I discovered astrology.
I have always been an artist, but once I began learning about astrology, my inspiration followed naturally. The symbolism of the zodiac signs, the personalities associated with each archetype, and the way the planets interact within a birth chart fascinated me.
What started as personal creative exploration quickly became something more. I began creating zodiac-inspired artwork simply because I enjoyed it — a creative outlet where I could play with symbolism and storytelling through design.
But as I shared the pieces with friends and family, their enthusiasm and encouragement led me to take a leap and start selling my work online.
That’s when my Etsy shop, Starwild Astrology, was born.
Inspiration & Artistic Style
Astrology, nature, spirituality, symbolism, and human connection have become the central themes that inspire my artwork.
Rather than sticking to a single artistic style, each collection begins with a concept or atmosphere I want to explore creatively. Some series lean into bold pop-art energy, others feel like modern editorial design, whimsical folk art, or even vintage band poster aesthetics.
While the visual style may shift from collection to collection, the intention behind the artwork remains the same:
to celebrate curiosity, connection, and self-discovery.
Astrology
The reason astrology resonated with me so strongly is because it created a sense of connection.
Learning about the planets in my birth chart, the houses they inhabit, and the way they interact with the zodiac signs felt incredibly intentional. Traits I once saw as flaws suddenly felt like something worth exploring rather than hiding.
My creativity.
The way I communicate.
How I think, love, and move through the world.
It was all there — written in the stars.
That understanding helped me give myself more grace and compassion. It also helped me extend that same understanding to others.
That feeling of recognition and connection is what I hope people experience when they encounter Starwild artwork.
The Art
Every piece of Starwild artwork is personally curated, designed, and created by me on my iPad.
From concept to final illustration, each design is created with intention and attention to detail. Whether it becomes a printable artwork, a poster, or a product, the goal is always the same:
to create art that feels meaningful, expressive, and a little bit magical.

What began as a small creative outlet has grown into a space where art, astrology, and storytelling come together.
Through Starwild, I hope to create artwork that helps people feel inspired, seen, and connected — both to the cosmos and to themselves.
